Three important lessons I learned from Mary Magdalene on my pilgrimage to the south of France.

After rejecting atonement substitutionary theory to explain the death of Jesus, do you need to reimagine Holy Week? Perhaps a better way is to see Jesus as an example of transformation and explore what it is we need to allow to die so that we can resurrect as our truest loving self.

Even as we recognize the need for growth, letting go of those protective hedges of what you knew to be true, is destabilizing. You will need to grow comfortable with uncertainty and learn to trust that small voice deep inside of you!

“Re-examine all you have been told in school or church or in any book, and dismiss whatever insults your own soul.” The process of deconstruction requires you to let go of certainty and question everything!

The first step on this path of deconstruction is one of awareness. Slowly you may become aware that something is not right, or that parts of the religious teaching or preaching don’t make sense anymore, or that some of it feels like BS!

The path of deconstruction requires evaluating the faith beliefs and religious teachings you have been given, clearing out the ones you’ve outgrown, and keeping only what resonates with your soul. But it won’t be easy. Join our Wise Souls Circle for companionship on the journey!
