What is Spiritual Direction?
Spiritual Direction is a holy relationship between you, me and the Divine Mystery. God is the real director.
I journey with you, as a ‘soul friend' or anam cara, to help you become more aware of and attentive to the divine presence, or seeming absence, in your life. We can use holy words or art materials to unpack how God shows up in your life. God’s presence can be experienced through prayer, the words of inspired poetry, your own words spilled out on a journal page, through creative play, music, being in nature, or being with those you love.
Spiritual Direction might be for you if you are ready to respond to God’s persistent invitation to draw nearer.

Here’s where I can help!
I am a certified spiritual director, trained in Ignatian Spirituality at John Carroll University in Cleveland Ohio. While my Ignatian training forms my foundation, I am deeply grounded in Celtic Spirituality as conveyed through the Céile Dé tradition.
I’m also a member of Spiritual Directors, International. After receiving my training as a spiritual director, I went back to school to dig deeper into my understanding of how God shows up in our lives. I earned a Masters’ Degree in Theology at John Carroll, and taught college level courses for several years on the intersection of creative expression and spirituality.
I am an ordained a priest in the Independent Catholic Movement and commissioned by the Federation of Christian Ministries. In addition to offering spiritual direction, I hold sacred community space for women to explore what is most life-giving in our spiritual journey. We call it the Wise Souls Circle. Ongoing Direction
Explore your spiritual journey in a language and manner that is meaning to you. Unpack your experiences of grace and challenge as you grow in faith, trusting in God’s unconditional love. If you are open to it, we can use art materials to explore your soul’s wisdom and a different way to encounter the divine.
One-on-One hour-long monthly meetings
At each meeting, we will explore where God is showing up in your life and respond to the challenges and grace that surfaced during the past month.
Optional artful exploration, depends on what materials you bring to the table

The Spiritual Exercises Set Free
I offer this program individually or in a group format. It is based loosely on St. Ignatius’ Spiritual Exercises, which have been revised to reflect a more life-giving theology. We explore the doctrines of original sin and original blessing, atonement theory, Jesus’ treatment of women and other marginalized people, and revisit the circumstances leading to to the death of Jesus. The program retains some of the most impactful tools from the longer Retreat In Everyday Life.
